The New York State Fair OPENS today. I happened to be driving by the Fair this morning. Uh… not too many folks lined up to get in. Rain is throwing a wet blanket over day one. Not to worry. More summer heat and dry air are on their way.

I’m still basking in the glory of Monday night’s fundraiser at Harvey’s Garden. I am so thankful to all who attended. By all accounts, it was a very successful event. We have a joint meeting this coming Monday night of Triumph Over Stroke CNY and CNY Brain Aneurysm. I’m sure there will be an accounting that I can share with you.

My band and I were happy to perform at the event. We got to play some music from our soon-to-be-released Artist and the Astronaut Soundtrack album and some songs from my Early Years catalog. I also got to let some of my bandmates share their vocal talents. Steve Orlando got a huge ovation for his rendition of Tennessee Whiskey, and every time Letizia opened her mouth to sing, the audience went wild. I love playing with this band. We play a mix of styles, with covers from the Rock Era to today’s latest tunes. But always we are so pleased and honored at the reception of our own catalog of songs. There is no greater thrill for a songwriter than to have your audience sing your songs. I will be forever grateful for that.

Today, Tom Honan and I will be meeting with the Promoter of the Two Wolf concert, coming up in September. I look forward to meeting him and to spending time with my longtime compatriot, John Pettigrass. We’re planning the PR campaign for this concert. Here is a link to info about that concert: TWO WOLF

Soon, we will be announcing special pricing for that concert for family and friends of HOBIN fans.

Stay Tuned.
