More good news came in this morning for the Artist & the Astronaut. Overnight we learned that we just got invited to the Barcelona Indie Filmmakers’ Festival. Right, Barcelona Spain. I better brush up on my Spanish.

Other than that, it’s been a crazy day at the lake. One of our oak trees dropped a branch on the power line and ripped it from the house. National Grid came out and fixed it. Ya know, we complain about the cost of power. But, I gotta tell you, when you don’t have electricity, heat, WiFi, the internet… we are living in the dark ages. At times like this, you learn the value of a guitar. Just pick it up and play it. Life is better. No electricity needed. And with a roaring fire in the fireplace, all is good.

Anyway, power is restored and I’m listening to the first mixes for Cheri Giraud’s new album. Brett’s mixes are pristine. Her voice is perfect, warm, inviting, exciting, and emotive. I enjoy working with her so much. And the band comes off sounding spectacular. I can’t wait to get this album out. People are going to love it.

That’s all the news from Foxfield Woods today.
