Sorry… It’s me again. WAY too busy to even catch up with my family, let alone my dear friends. In short, the old man (me) got himself embroiled in far too many projects. Here’s a quick rundown… so that you know.
Yes, classes for the Spring semester at Le Moyne begin this week. We already had the first music faculty meeting. I never thought that this little professor adventure I started in “retirement” would last this long. It’s been a couple of decades. I still love it. I adore my students, and I am very proud of the studio I built for them. My colleagues are first-rate. Onward we go.
My band… hmmm…. that seems a little weird to say, but we are a band and we are playing a concert this weekend. We have a couple more rehearsals this week. We will also play some songs from the movie, The Artist & the Astronaut, at the Tully Train Station this Sunday. Lots of other songs too. From the Early Years and some new songs, and always some of our favorites. Then we’re right back in the studio to record the remaining songs for the film’s soundtrack album, which should be released shortly after the movie goes worldwide with streaming. You’re going to enjoy listening to this particular ensemble. The Voices, the songs, the stories. All good.
Brett and I are wrapping up production on the Cheri Giraud album. More on that later. It’s killer. Big name talent, a wonderful trio, Dan Pugh on keys as Musical Director… and so much more. If you haven’t heard Cheri yet. Trust me, you will. And you are going to love her as much as her fanatic fans do.
Earth Rising, the title track from The Artist & the Astronaut will premiere on Youtube tonight at midnight. The song features Jeff Gordon and Letizia. Many screenshots from the movie are featured along with behind-the-scenes footage from the studio.
Speaking of the film. It launches on February 8th. We can’t wait for you to see it.

If I wasn’t busy enough already, my long-time friend and genius “brother from another mother” asked me to join him and Bruce Coville. We’re writing a new Rock Opera. We’re aiming for Broadway, but the first stop looks like it’s going to be London. I’ll keep you posted. Bob Christianson - Composer - look him up.
