We just got back from our latest screening of the Artist and the Astronaut. This one was an encore presentation in Vermont sponsored by the Green Mountain Academy for Adult Learning. I am particularly fond of this group headed by Gloria Palmer https://www.greenmtnacademy.org/. The audience was very interested and engaged with not only the film but with our question and answer period following the screening.

This crowd knew their history. They lived it. They had great questions for Andrew Chaikin who joined us on stage after the screening. He is a space genius. He actually teaches at NASA. His latest project deals with the engineering of space crafts. His research and writing are impeccable. He appears in the film. He worked with Tom Hanks on the Apollo 13 series. Andy is adept and bringing the human side to the science of space.

The crowd also enjoyed the historical background provided by Paul Muench. His commentary in the film and precise explanations are an integral part of the film.

Fun fact. Andy and his wife joined us for a little afterparty at the home of Bill and Barb Muench. We went late into the night discussing music, musical instruments, and the technology of music. He is a fine musician.

The road to and from Vermont is like winter wonderland this time of year.

Waking up in the Green Mountains is breathtaking. Time for coffee.

You may be able to make out the horses as they watch me drink my morning coffee.

Today I am back in CNY. Brett and I are in the studio working on a new opening and credits song for our film. A little later Jeff Gordon will be stopping by to lend his spectacular voice to the song. Right now… it’s guitar time. I can’t wait to strap on a Strat and play.

Grandpa loves his job.
