Artemis II
If we’ve learned anything from those first trips into space, it’s safety first. The launch is being postponed until March. The Liquid Fuel Umbilical is leaking. After the fix, they should be good to go. The crew is no longer in quarantine.
We will keep you posted.
The plan is to launch this month. They’ve already begun fueling the rocket. The crew has just been sent into quarantine. If conditions continue to be perfect, the crew will be headed for a ride around the moon.
It is of particular interest to those of us who produced the film “The Artist & the Astronaut.” Our film documents those first flights around the moon and the moon landings, with interviews and archival footage that has never been seen before.
This is very dangerous work. It’s not automatic. Everything has to be perfect. It may seem like a longtime ago, but not so long that we can’t recall the tragedies - and the triumphs.
Stay tuned. History is about to be made, again.
If you haven’t seen the “Artist and the Astronaut” yet, now would be a good time. It’s streaming on Amazon and many other streaming platforms. It will be a good warm-up for this next adventure in space.
