I should be thinking about my NYS Fair gig on Tuesday. I know I will get to it, but first I have to deal with pre-press headaches for “The Lion That Meowed.” I love doing the illustrations*, but formatting for print is a lot of dancing on the wrong side of the brain.

Here’s the problem - and how I’m going to proceed.

At this point, I will be jumping away from my personal written Journal. A lot of the “figuring out” that I do in my leather bound, ink and paper Journal is ugly. I name names, cuss rather vigorously, and dive into as many rabbit holes as we have up here in Foxfield Woods. I will forego any agony I may cause you and dive right into the good stuff. (I did figure it out, by the way. Many hours of deep diving into the KDP manual. —- UGLY.)

We are all looking forward to these shows, a day at the Fair, and meeting with you all. My Assistant Donna will be there. We’re bringing new T-shirts. They are RETRO, but in PINK, PURPLE, and the traditional BLACK. Yes, I will be taking requests, but mostly I want to share some new songs (movie, and the next album.) I hope to see you there.

*”The Lion That Meowed” is a children’s book by Richard Faith. I have illustrated all six of the published stories so far in the Old Doc Turtle Adventure series. More to come. This one is fun… with a surprise at the end. Here is Leviathan figuring it all out.
