We’ll be on the road this weekend again. On our way to the Stamford, CT gala for The Artist & the Astronaut we’ll make a stop in Albany to celebrate Briana’s birthday. Take a look at the NEWS article on this website’s front page. It is a very special event. We are honored to be featured in their fundraising efforts to build an observatory at the Stamford Museum and Nature Center.

I am particularly excited to spend some time with Pat Musick. She will be there to answer questions with us after the screening of the film, which tells her life story. At 96 years young she brings humor and gravitas to every event. They will be displaying some of her magnificent art tomorrow night. I’ll be taking my black tie, and Joann will be festooned in a brand-new gown. Yes, I know how lucky I am.

As soon as we get back to the lake, I will turn right around and hop on a plane to Arkansas. Bill Muench and I will be sharing our film and thoughts at the Walton Center for the Arts. Filmmaking is so much more than making films. Turns out you have to do massive publicity tours to let the world know that you have an award-winning film in the world. We have film festivals in Spain and Australia coming up, and believe it or not, another prestigious film festival is going to announce very soon that we are invited.

Speaking of the lake, Joann’s gardens are starting to bloom. The beach and grounds are flush with wildlife. We have a nesting pair of ducks relaxing on the lawn, and the first brood of goslings is already frolicking on the beach. It’s getting very hard to leave. Thankfully, Tonia, the keeper of the grounds will be overseeing things. She does remarkable work here in our Wildlife Habitat.

I turned in my grades for the semester! I can now focus my full attention on a host of studio projects. No sign of retirement just yet.

Be well, everyone.
