The Sammy Awards

Tonight are the Sammy Awards. Dammit! As per usual of late, the weather is in severe suck mode.

It’s a great night for our music community. We are vibrant and alive. And tonight we celebrate our own. I am really looking forward to see some of my longtime friends… and a bunch of new young guns.

The old man here, is nominated for Rock Album of the Year. I produced Irv Lyon Jr What Are We Fighting For. It’s really a wonderful album. That particular category is stacked with some well deserving projects. But, I am pulling for Irv. He deserves a win. He is one of the hardest working people in our business. And a good soul.

Brett is up for SIX awards tonight!!! in addition to Engineering and playing on Irv’s record, he has five other projects in the hunt for some tin. Crazy, right?
