The lake was calm and beautiful this morning. Pretty much every day is blissful here. This beautiful photograph was taken this very morning by one of our neighbors. (Thanks, Tom. Great photo.) Upstate New York is diverse and picturesque and we are in the heart of it. Far from the madding crowds, surrounded by woods and fields, it’s a hard life, but a very good life. We feel so lucky to call this land home. It’s hard to leave it, but I must to get to work… on so many projects.

It was an interesting day in the studio. We found out that we were invited to the Madrid Indie Film Festival. Gonna have to brush up on my Spanish. We also zoomed into the offices of the Stamford Museum and Nature Center. https://www.stamfordmuseum.org/ They are developing their Astronomy division. We’ll be headed there in May to show our film The Artist and the Astronaut. They are pretty excited about it. The film is a perfect fit for their mission. The grounds and buildings, and their projected growth, are all spectacular.

Brett and I spent the day working on a new song for the film. It’s been a week of music and art. I sometimes can’t believe that I am still totally in love with every day of my “work” life. It doesn’t seem like work.

I have to practice tonight. I have a concert to prepare for. Songs for a Winter’s Night is one of my favorite concert series. It opens on Sunday and will play every Sunday for about six weeks. Our concert is next Sunday, January 15th. The Tully Train Station is iconic. Here is a link to the series: https://www.toddhobin.com/news-events/tullytrainstation

I do look forward to seeing you. It’s been too long. I will miss the lake, but I miss you more.

Onward.
