January 22, 2026 - This Week

It’s a busy week - and it’s friggin’ cold up here in the cool, cool, North.

I started my classes for this semester yesterday. My students are truly exceptional. It makes a long day teaching an absolute pleasure. Letizia will be joining me later this semester. She’ll be featured in a concert with the Jazzuits. We’re doing the music of Stevie Wonder. I will keep you posted. The concert is on March 8th.

Speaking of Letizia. Tonight, she and I are doing our DUO thing at Timber Banks. Persimmons is the Country Club Restaurant. CNY Jazz presents a series there on Thursday nights. We’ll be singing smooth jazz, smooth pop, smooth covers, and we’ll also play a few songs from our recently released Artist and the Astronaut Soundtrack album.

Let’s all come out to support their exciting launch.

We’re very pleased to be the first official presenter of a new group on the CNY scene, Todd Hobin & Letizia, two of the most storied and talented voices ever known to Central New Yorkers. They’ll be inhabiting the dates formerly billed as “The Letizia Duo” at CNY Jazz at Timber Banks at Persimmons for the rest of that series. Expect the wide-ranging repertoire, excellence, and excitement that each of them is known for – times two – and much more!

This Saturday night, we are bringing the whole band to The Steeple Coffee House for a night of fun. The weather may be a bit on the chilly side, so be careful. It’s a fundraiser for the Church. Read all about it here:
