Surviving a Stroke is only the beginning. You have to fight hard to get your life back. I am one of the lucky ones. I have a huge family, lots of friends, and a passion to regain my left hand. Without my music, I don’t think I could live.
The good people at Crouse Hospital put me in touch with a couple of dynamic women who fight this good fight every day. Karen EngelKissane on the NeuroScience Team and Katie Weiss, like me, a stroke survivor. I joined their team. Katie is a young mom. In surviving a stroke and fighting back, she wanted to do more. That’s why she started Triumph Over Stroke. For information on the good things they are doing visit their website:
AND to help us raise funds for the National Stroke Association please join us in this year’s Walk/Run at Onondaga Lake Park, Saturday, October 13th.
Or just donate to our Team as we Walk/Run our way through the park to raise funds.
FYI, I will not be walking or running. I will be strumming my guitar and singing.
