Hobin Studios made its humble beginning in a little barn in Clay, NY in 1973.  A few mics, a couple of reel to reel tape recorders and some wall to wall, floor to ceiling carpeting  was all that was needed to start recording.  But it's fair to say that the germination may have been way back in 1955 when Todd received his first tape recorder from a favorite uncle.  Fast forward a half century and Hobin Studios has become one of the premiere studios in the Northeast, garnering Production Excellence Awards for its work and laying down a long and storied track record of productions for an impressive list of clients.

STAFF The studios are now run by the next generation of Hobins.  Brett Hobin is the boss, guiding the company through its current expansion and growth in the digital era.  And Corey Hobin is Chief Engineer.  Todd is still very much in the picture, but focuses most of his attention on his music, his art, his teaching and his grandson.

STUDIO B
SERVICES The barn in Clay was replaced in 1987 by Studio B.  A state of the art building (another barn, but this one built from the ground up) housing a state of the art LEDE designed control room and the finest gear money could by back then.  Some of the original gear still remains, but with this latest upgrade, not to many tape recorders can be found.  Only some coveted analog pieces and some vintage gear.  Studio A was retired early in the decade to make way for Studio C on Westcott St. in Syracuse, NY.  The home of Full Cast Audio.  Studio D is Todd's personal use project studio.

STUDIO C
Hobin Studios is family owned and operated, and will continue to be based in technical excellence and dedicated to the art and craft of music and audio recording.
